The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care is part of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and represents a growing community of pre-hospital care professionals including paramedics, nurses, and doctors. The Faculty offers a fully inclusive membership structure with multiple levels based on competency frameworks, examination qualifications (FIMC, DIMC, DRTM, DUMC, DMIM), and Faculty Accreditation pathways for consultant-level practitioners.

A dedicated group for students and junior trainees within the Faculty providing representation and support
STG Funding
Funding available for recognised student organisations and groups to support events or initiatives that advance student and junior education in PHEM. Applications reviewed quarterly in February, May, August and November. Successful applications have included start-up costs, educational resources, and event support funding.

Faculty Accreditation Pathway
Pathway for paramedics, nurses and doctors to be formally recognized as operating at consultant-level equivalent, accessible to those unable to undertake PHEM sub-specialty training
