The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) is a professional organisation representing over 2000 dermatological professionals in the UK. TRAINEE Trainee Opportunities
American Academy of Dermatology Scholarship
Four scholarships available for dermatology trainees in the UK or Ireland to attend the AAD annual meeting (usually March). Includes complimentary meeting registration, admission to one ticketed session half-day course, invitation to reception and dinner, and $1,000 USD stipend. Closing date: 31 January annually.
Resident Doctor Study Scholarship
One scholarship of £3,750 available to a resident doctor (formerly junior doctor) for up to three months full-time study and/or research over 12 months in the UK or Ireland. Project must be relevant to dermatology and/or skin biology. Eligible: FY1-ST2 level aspiring dermatologists. Closing date: 31 January.
Resident Doctor (Trainee) Education and Leadership Award
One award of £5,000 available to a dermatology trainee registered for a higher degree (master's or PhD) in Medical Education or Leadership, with research directly related to dermatology education or leadership. Closing date: 31 January.
Travel Awards
Three awards of £3,000 each available to resident doctors, dermatology trainees and SAS doctors in the UK or Ireland wishing to visit overseas centres or attend specific dermatological meetings (excluding BAD and AAD annual meetings). Closing date: 31 January.
Intercalated Degree Awards
Two awards of £5,000 each available to medical students at UK or Irish universities pursuing an intercalated degree with a project relevant to dermatology and/or skin biology. Closing date: 31 January.
Medical Student Research Awards
Three awards of £1,000 each available to medical students at UK or Irish universities undertaking a research project related to dermatology and/or skin biology. Closing date: 31 January.
Green Prize for Sustainable Dermatology
Annual award for projects that conduct dermatology-related activities improving sustainability with demonstrable positive environmental impact. Winner receives trophy, presentation as Hot Topic at BAD annual meeting, and BAD donates £150 to UK-based environmental initiative.

Specialty Certificate Examination Support
