Future Healthcare Journal is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal affiliated with the Royal College of Physicians. It covers practical responses to healthcare challenges, including digital health, artificial intelligence, prevention, workforce planning, system redesign, population health, lifestyle medicine and therapeutic advances. It publishes original research, reviews, quality improvement reports, research letters, opinion pieces, case studies, letters and commissioned discussion articles.
The journal is fully open access. All submissions received by 31 December 2032 receive a 100% article publishing charge discount if accepted. Standard fees are USD 2,000 for full length articles and reviews, and USD 1,000 for short articles and case reports, excluding taxes. Review is double anonymised. The journal does not state a first-decision time or acceptance rate.

Before you submit
- Do not post the manuscript as a preprint until the journal has made its final decision.
- Upload the appropriate reporting checklist for the study type.
- Register systematic reviews and meta-analyses prospectively in PROSPERO and include a completed PRISMA checklist.
- Submit three to five highlights in a separate editable file, with no more than 85 characters per bullet.
- Provide a competing interests statement, even when there is nothing to declare.
- Include patient consent and ethics approval statements when the research involves people.
