The Pre-Hospital Care Conference is BASICS' national meeting for clinicians and responders involved in pre-hospital care, including immediate care schemes, military clinicians, HEMS teams, NHS and private ambulance services, sports and event medicine, and specialist rescue organisations. The programme is described as a mix of interactive workshops, demonstrations and plenary sessions, with the detailed programme still listed as coming soon. Research and audit value is strong for trainees: the conference hosts a poster exhibition and competition for students and non-students, and the highest-scoring abstracts submitted by Friday 17 July 2026 may be invited to give a five-minute lightning presentation in the Friday plenary session. Suitable submissions include case studies, audit series and research findings concerning pre-hospital care. At least one author must attend, accepted authors are notified by Friday 31 July 2026, and a digital PDF poster is due by Tuesday 8 September 2026. Two-day standard non-member registration is £295 and student non-member registration is £158, with lower BASICS member, BASICS student member, FPHC and military rates. The Annual Awards Dinner is on Thursday 8 October at Sketchley Grange Hotel & Spa and costs £60. The venue is near Hinckley with free on-site parking, about five minutes by taxi from Hinckley station and less than 30 minutes by road from Birmingham and East Midlands airports.
