EFRR is a European multidisciplinary rehabilitation research forum; the 2025 archive reports around 200 participants from Europe and beyond.
High adjacent-cycle research signal: EFRR 2025 published a journal supplement and previous congresses used lecture/oral, poster and workshop formats. Current 2027 abstract route is not yet visible.
Useful for doctors building rehabilitation medicine, academic medicine or implementation-science portfolios. Current 2027 trainee fees and submission rules are not yet public.
EFRR 2027 remains a save-the-date conference for rehabilitation researchers and clinicians at the University of Limerick, 19-21 August 2027. The current page confirms the theme, "Making evidence work in practice: involvement, innovation and implementation", and gives conference@ul.ie for advance enquiries, but it does not yet publish registration, abstract submission, faculty, CPD or programme pages. The richer evidence comes from EFRR's own archive and should be treated as adjacent-cycle guidance only. The 2025 Budapest abstract supplement was published in Rehabilitáció, volume 35, supplement 1, and the supplement itself notes that EFRR conference proceedings have historically been published as supplements to the International Journal of Rehabilitation Research. The 2025 programme contained 12 lecture sessions plus a poster session; the 2023 abstract book shows oral-presentation and e-poster sections with abstract sessions across pain medicine, neurorehabilitation, paediatric rehabilitation, low back pain, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation and miscellaneous topics. The 2017 congress brochure gives practical presenter details: oral speakers uploaded slides at least one hour before presenting, posters had set-up/take-down windows and staffed viewing periods, and best research oral and poster prizes were offered. None of those specifications are confirmed for 2027 yet, so trainees should use them as a checklist for what to look for when the Limerick call opens rather than as current rules.
