The Complete Guide to the Cutting Edge Laryngology 2026

Cutting Edge Laryngology 2026 is the British Laryngological Association's bi-annual flagship meeting, running 23-25 September 2026 at the Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street, London. The three-day scientific programme spans clinical practice, research and technological innovation in voice, airway and swallowing disorders - from robotics and AI in laryngology through early glottic cancer, chronic cough, airway stenosis, laryngeal reanimation and tracheostomy to voice care and thyroplasty - delivered by an international faculty including keynote speakers Elisabeth Sjogren and Markus Hess, with daily case discussions and free paper sessions. It is aimed at ENT surgeons, speech and language therapists, respiratory physicians, gastroenterologists, trainees and allied health professionals, with a deliberate multidisciplinary-team emphasis.

Abstract submission for 2026 closed on 5 June 2026 (extended deadline). Abstracts were invited across ten categories including voice, airway, swallowing, paediatric laryngology, neurolaryngology, education, basic science and case reports, capped at 250 words with an Introduction/Methods/Results/Conclusion structure, submitted via Oxford Abstracts; the first author must present, and work must be unpublished and not previously presented at a UK national meeting.

Registration is tiered: BLA member consultants pay 470 GBP early / 520 GBP full, non-member consultants 530/580 GBP, member trainees, SLTs and AHPs 350/400 GBP and non-members 410/460 GBP; early-bird pricing ends 12 August 2026, and medical students should contact the BLA directly for rates. The meeting is accredited by ENT UK (points to be announced) and is in-person only, though all presentations are recorded and available on demand to registered delegates within ten working days of the close.
