The BGS Autumn Meeting is a national two-day hybrid meeting in Nottingham for doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists, researchers and other clinicians involved in older people's healthcare. The public page describes a broad programme covering scientific research and best clinical practice across core areas of geriatric medicine, with online attendance available at the same fee as in-person attendance and on-demand access limited to registered days. Friday includes the Geriatrics 4 Trainees stream for internal medicine trainees, foundation doctors, early-career nurses and AHPs, and students.
Abstract submission is open for original research and clinical quality studies, which may be considered for poster or platform presentation; case reports are not accepted. The main Autumn Meeting abstract deadline is 5pm GMT on 24 July 2026, with results expected in the week commencing 4 September. G4T abstracts close at 5pm on 7 September 2026, and research symposium proposals close at 5pm on 31 August 2026. From 2026, BGS says presented posters and accompanying abstracts will receive a searchable and citable DOI rather than appearing in Spring and Autumn journal supplements.
Visible per-day non-member fees are £244 for senior doctors, £128 for resident/SAS grade doctors and healthcare professionals, and £73 for students or retired attendees. Equivalent member rates are £146, £77 and £44. BGS states that 10% early-bird rates expire three months before the live date, giving a senior doctor non-member early-bird fee of £219.60. The event page says the meeting has been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians for 18 CPD credits. The venue is East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham, with an Orchard Hotel B&B rate listed until 12 August 2026.
