This one-day Microsoft Teams conference is designed for medical students and resident doctors interested in palliative medicine. The programme runs from 09:00 to 17:00 and mixes a keynote, three sets of parallel sessions, research and careers plenaries, abstract presentations, virtual posters and breakout-room discussion. Six CPD credits have been approved.
You can submit original palliative-medicine work as research, audit, quality improvement or a case series. Abstracts are limited to 250 words and must arrive by email by 12:00 on Monday 31 August 2026. Successful applicants present a poster, with the highest-scoring abstracts selected for oral presentation. Medical students can also enter a separate 750-word essay competition on the conference theme by 12:00 on Monday 7 September 2026.
Tickets cost £20 for APM-member resident doctors, £30 for non-member resident doctors and £10 for medical students. The meeting is online-only, and the organiser recommends joining through an up-to-date Microsoft Teams desktop app using the account attached to your registration so that you can move between breakout rooms.
