Complete guideFull MedicMess editorial briefing

The 35th EADV Congress is a large international dermatology and venereology meeting taking place at Austria Center Vienna from 30 September to 3 October 2026. The programme spans more than 170 sessions, including plenaries, updates, controversies, training and education, subspecialty sessions, free communications, workshops, ePosters, industry sessions and a large exhibition. The meeting is suitable for dermatology trainees, consultants, academics and venereology clinicians looking for broad clinical updates as well as research presentation opportunities.

Standard abstract submission for the 2026 congress closed on 14 May 2026, with evaluation notification on 15 July 2026 and ePoster upload closing on 21 September 2026. EADV describes two standard submission options, clinical cases and general abstracts, and both allow authors to choose an ePoster or oral presentation preference. Abstracts must be in English, are limited to 4,000 characters including spaces, should avoid identifying institutions or author details in the title/text, and may include one table/image attachment per abstract section. Patient images/body-part photos, commercial drug names, brands, trademarks and pharmaceutical company names are prohibited.

A live late-breaking abstract route opens on 12 August and closes on 7 September 2026. Late-breaking work must contain new unpublished data, cannot be encore material, and accepted abstracts are presented orally in a 15-minute slot: 12 minutes presentation plus 3 minutes for questions. Registration is hybrid. Full tickets include live scientific sessions, the networking symposium, subspecialty sessions, ePoster access, exhibition access where eligible, ECMEC credit eligibility and a Vienna public-transport pass. Virtual tickets include streamed scientific sessions and on-demand content until 31 December 2026. Fees are published in EUR, so GBP summaries are left blank; non-member full tickets are 2085 EUR at full rate and EADV resident/student/nurse member full tickets are 80 EUR. CME-CPD information for 2026 is still due, but the site states eligibility to claim ECMEC credits and provides CME-CPD certificates for qualifying attendance.
