How do you apply for ACF?
National Application Form on Oriel, run by the NHS England local office in each IAT partnership. Needs academic and clinical references. Source ↗
How are ACF applicants shortlisted?
The application form (nine questions, including academic experience and academic potential) is scored against a national template by at least two trained shortlisters. Evidence of clinical competence for the ST level is required. Source ↗
What is the ACF interview like?
About 30 minutes, usually online (Teams/Zoom). A dataset or publication question is sent up to 48 hours before. Ranking uses academic scores; applicants without a matching NTN/DRN must then pass clinical benchmarking. Source ↗
